A memorial forest sapling planting event was held at Yahya Çavuş Campus, in partnership with Ezine Vocational School, International Social Responsibility Association (USSOD) and Çanakkale Onsekiz Mart University (ÇOMÜ) Social Responsibility Community, for ÇOMÜ students who were martyred while they were students or graduates. After the moment of silence in memory of our martyrs and the National Anthem, the final match of the Chess Tournament was held to commemorate the day. Afterwards, Ezine Vocational School Director Prof. Dr. R. Cüneyt ERENOĞLU, USSOD Deputy Chairman Emre KILIÇ, Ezine Mayor Güray YÜKSEL and ÇOMÜ Deputy Rector Prof. Dr. Hüseyin ERKUL delivered his speeches on the meaning of the day. After the medals were given to our students who ranked in the chess tournament, prayers were said for all our martyrs. Afterwards, the participants brought the saplings together with the soil in memory of our martyrs. The sapling planting event came to an end with the serving of rice.
